William Stewart-Starks

My name is William Stewart-Starks and I am running for Kansas State House as a Libertarian to restore Constitutional principles to our State legislature. I am a University of Kansas Student and United States Veteran having served in both the US Army and the Kansas Army National Guard . I have always been passionate about defending this country from all threats to our individual rights and freedoms, something has become evermore common from big government. It is time for we the people to reclaim what has made us great and earned us respect and envy around the world.  The great State of Kansas can be a beacon to the rest of the country of people united in this movement toward liberty, prosperity, and peace that is need now just as it was needed during its founding.

I am excited to announce my run for the State House seat in the 10th district and hope to bring a coalition of like minded citizens and partners to the fold. We have an excellent opportunity this year to change the "business as usual politics" that have been going on for many years, both nationally and locally in our State and Federal Governments. I am proud to be a leader in the fight to protect you and your freedoms by honoring my oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. My service in the United States Army taught me to uphold duty first and that means to be a sentinel of the law. This includes defending your right to privacy and your right to lead your own life. It is not the role of government to infringe upon these rights, rather to ensure them. Join me in bringing these values back into our State Government.
